Importance of having a place to practice

Classes on Saturday and Sunday will take place at the Parklane office, a stone’s throw from BIBS, at 817 W. Franklin Street. Then, we’ll be back at 660 N. 9th Street on Tuesday.

The weekend schedule is:

  • Saturday – Mahamudra at 8 a.m.; Refuge Recovery at 4:30 at 817 Franklin
  • Sunday – Beginners Mind Book Study at 9 a.m.; at 817 Franklin
    • Guided meditations at 11 a.m. at 817 Franklin.
    • Vajrayana practice at 4 p.m. at 817 Franklin.
  • Tuesday – Boise Insight Sangha at 6 p.m. at BIBS

I am the administrator/ information coordinator for the Boise Institute for Buddhist Studies, (BIBS). As the organization's title implies, BIBS is committed to learning, understanding and practicing the Buddhist path. In particular, the organization is non-sectarian and based on the presentation of traditional Mahayana principles. The Institute helps to preserve a spiritual tradition that has enriched human civilization for 2600 years.
