Groundbreaking for New Vietnamese Temple

The entire Buddhist community is welcome to attend the Wesak Celebration and Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new Linh Thuu Temple on Sunday, June 14, at 8813 Ardene Street, Boise, Idaho. (West of intersection of Overland and Maple Grove).

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m – Introduction of Vietnamese monastic community
  • 11 a.m. to noon – Commemorative service of Lord Buddha’s 2559 Anniversary
  • Noon – Groundbreaking ceremony
  • 1 p.m. – Vegetarian lunch and entertainment
  • 4 p.m. – Service for hungry ghosts

As the organization's title implies, BIBS is committed to learning, understanding and practicing the Buddhist path. In particular, the organization is non-sectarian and based on the presentation of traditional Mahayana principles. The Institute helps to preserve a spiritual tradition that has enriched human civilization for 2600 years.
